Home and Community Care (HACC – Whyalla Program]
Pika Wiya Health Service Inc. provides Home and Community Care (HACC) services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Whyalla. The program includes a range of home visiting and transport services aimed at supporting elderly, frail and disabled people to continue to live in their own homes for longer periods of time. To access the program in Whyalla, the Port Augusta Office should be contacted in the first instance. Criteria apply to all referrals made to the program; please direct these enquiries to the Port Augusta office.

Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement
The Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement is run by a council of Aboriginal people elected by the Aboriginal community. It provides comprehensive legal advice and assistance through its staff lawyers and, where appropriate, private lawyers, to people of Aboriginal descent and their spouses. There is no means test and contributions are not normally required, although a merit test is applied before assistance is given for appeals.
